What it does

PlayStation sales are frequent, short and buried among 1,700 discounted titles. The trackers that exist show you all of them. Savepoint shows you the eight that matter, with the number that tells you why, and a verdict on whether the game itself is any good.

Only the exceptional drops

The public channel posts at most 8 times a day. A game has to clear a hard bar: 75 percent off under ₹999, 60 percent off under ₹1,499, a strong title at 40 percent off, or a new all-time low. Everything else waits for the digest.

Disc and digital, one feed

Amazon disc prices are checked against the PlayStation Store price for the same game, so "disc beats digital by ₹500" is a reason you will see. Inflated list prices are capped against the store's own full price.

Your watchlist, privately

Send the bot /watch Elden Ring 2000 and you hear when it reaches ₹2,000, falls by ₹300, or hits the lowest price it has ever had. Nobody else sees it.

A verdict, not just a percentage

A 60 percent discount on a bad game is not a deal. With the Claude Code CLI installed, every new title is scored once and cached forever. Without it, the arithmetic still runs and the post says "not scored".

Never twice

One post per game, store and price. It posts again only when the price falls another ₹250 or 10 percent, or once when the sale ends within a day.

Runs on your machine

One Node process, one SQLite file, zero runtime dependencies, no API keys beyond a free Telegram bot token. Telegram is long polling, so nothing needs a public URL.

The rules

Every rule is arithmetic on the store's own prices and our own history. They are short enough to read, and every post names the one that applied.

  1. 01

PS Store: full games and bundles on PS5 only. Never DLC, never a price that needs PS Plus.

  2. 02

Post if 75 percent off and under ₹999, or 60 percent off and under ₹1,499. A guard keeps shovelware out: scored titles need 6 of 10, unscored titles need a full price of at least ₹1,499.

  3. 03

Post if 40 percent off and under ₹2,499 and the title scores 8 or more.

  4. 04

Post a new all-time low of at least 5 percent under ₹2,999, once the game has a week of history.

  5. 05

Amazon disc: in stock, and 35 percent below the reference price under ₹2,499, or ₹500 cheaper than last time, or ₹500 cheaper than the PS Store.

The amounts above are the India defaults. Presets exist for the US and UK stores, and every threshold is a config value, so the same agent runs against any of the roughly 70 PlayStation Store regions.

Where the AI sits

The model never decides on its own. It answers one question per title, once: how is this game regarded by players and critics, on a scale of 1 to 10, in eight words. That score feeds exactly two rules, the "strong title at 40 percent off" rule and the shovelware guard. The cache means the cost is proportional to new titles, not to crawls, and switching the model off changes nothing except the verdict line.

It runs through the Claude Code CLI on the owner's subscription. No API key, no per-user exposure.

Why we built it

The founder kept missing PS5 sales. Every tracker he tried was a wall of percentages with no opinion. The fix was an agent with taste: strict rules, a memory of prices, and one cached verdict per game.

The design came out of a two-round discussion between Claude Code and Codex on 3 September 2026, with the data sources verified before the first line was written. Claude Code built it the same day. The transcript ships in the repository.

If you want an agent like this watching something in your business, prices, listings, inventory, a competitor, that is the work we do.

Run your own

The first week is quiet on purpose: all-time lows need history before they count. The PS Store endpoint is unofficial, so when it changes the bot tells you after two failed crawls. Amazon disc prices are best effort and pause for six hours on a captcha. Flipkart is not covered.
